Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your email — only if you sign in, used to send your magic sign-in link and tie your rounds to your account.
• What you enter — your display name, the golfers, scores, and bets you add to a round.
• Basic app data — an anonymous device/session id so your data syncs and access rules work.
• Anonymous usage analytics — which screens get opened and when the app is launched, so we can see how GimmeTab is used and improve it. This never includes the contents of your bets or scores.
• Error reports — if the app hits a technical error, details about that error (what failed and where in the code) are sent to our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) so we can find and fix bugs. These reports are about the app's behavior, not yours.

How we use it

To run the app — sync your rounds across your devices, show your bets and stats, and let the golfers in a round see shared results — and to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

AI Caddie

If you're on Pro (or in your free trial) and you use the AI Caddie, the bet and scoring figures it needs — golfer display names, game results, stakes, handicap strokes, and net totals — are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your advice. This happens only when you tap to use the feature. We don't send your email, and Anthropic doesn't use this data to train its models or for advertising. The advice is for fun — see the Terms.

Money

GimmeTab is a ledger/calculator — it does the math on side bets. No money is ever collected, held, or moved through the app, and we don't process payments for bets. (Optional Pro subscriptions are billed separately by Stripe.)

Storage & deletion

Data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase); payments are handled by Stripe, AI Caddie requests by Anthropic (see above), and error reports by Sentry. You can delete your account and data anytime from the app — on the home screen, tap “Delete account.” Your name is removed from rounds you shared with others (which stay for the other golfers), your history, roster, and any Pro subscription are deleted.
